I came to driving quite late in life and ended up needing to learn and get a license very quickly. This meant I needed a driving instructor that would be able to teach me at a quick pace, whilst also being able to identify and tackle what difficulties I might have and find ways to enable me to pass regardless. Theresa very much succeeded in all of these things, quickly getting me up to speed and successfully through my first test, even with the limitations of Covid lockdowns.

What helped me to be successful was Theresa’s knack for reading her learner drivers very well and seeing the different levels of confidence and ability they have. She doesn’t just show you how to pass the test, she teaches you what you need to know to be a good driver and understand how to cope in a variety of situations, preparing you for the test and a future on the road all at the same time

I tried 2 other instructors but did not feel like I was making progress Until I found Teresa. I have a physical disability which causes my legs to be very stiff. Teresa was able to find ways to make driving easier for me.

She is a fantastic instructor so patient and teaches you all the skills to fulfil your potential and to become a fantastic and safe driver. She is a lovely instructor, very kind. Works to support individuals needs.

I did my lessons with Mirrors last year. I previously tried some years ago but just could not get the hang of it and i got very frustrated and gave up.Then due to a career change i needed to get my full licence.

Theresa’s lessons were very structured and her instruction was very precise and easy…i quickly got the hang of it and actually enjoyed our lessons. She never cancelled and always turned up on time.

My mate had lessons with Theresa and passed 1st time so when i was due to start i gave her a call and she slotted me in at a time that suited both of us. I progressed very quickly and got a lot out of each hour! I was amazed of how much ground we covered and i actually drove on my 1st hour!

“My daughter has a mild physical and learning disability and wanted to learn to drive. I contacted Mirrors where Martina said she would be happy to teach Emily. Martina got her to a good standard before she moved away. Theresa then took Emily on. She was kind, patient and very understanding of her problems and really went the extra mile.

Emily passed 1st time last week with only 2 minors !!!!!!!!!!! A once unattainable dream realised !! Thank you Theresa for your excellent teaching, fantastic patience and sense of humour !! I would recommend Theresa to anyone and everyone !!

“I have taken numerous manual driving lessons in the past and just could not get the hang of it ….so I decided as I was reaching 40 with 3 young children I really had to learn to drive, I thought I would give automatic lessons ago.

I started with a different driving school which was a huge mistake, I had loads of lessons, spend a fortune and still couldn’t do the manoeuvres, I really believed driving wasn’t for me and was ready to give up. Anyway I contacted Mirrors and spoke to Theresa who was so friendly and put my mind at rest that with the right instructor I would pass my test.

After my first lesson with Theresa I was able to do the manoeuvres, I really couldn’t believe how easy they were when shown properly.

I had about 7 lessons with Theresa before my test and am please to say I passed first time with only one minor fault, I never ever thought this would happen.

Hi Theresa, Thanks so much for helping my 19 year old daughter Holly pass her test. She knew from the start that she would prefer a female instructor and you built her confidence at times when she most needed it and kept her going. It’s great that she passed her test with only 2 minors and she is loving being out and about driving now!
